Explore your family, one step at a time

  1. Full overview resets the tree. Fit whole view shows every person in the current view; Zoom to names returns to a readable size.

  2. A family branch shows that person, their descendants and their partners. Selecting a card opens the person’s details. Selecting a relative outside the branch returns to the full tree.

  3. On a phone or tablet: drag the background with one finger and pinch with two fingers to zoom. The plus and minus buttons also work. On a computer: drag to move and scroll to zoom.

  4. People with the same name have separate identities. Parent names and family context help you distinguish them. Missing surnames are shown as unknown and can be added in Edit person.
